Job Description

As a Lead, Scrum Master this individual will join team of change agents who are responsible for coaching, teaching and guiding individuals, bringing to bear agile principles, practices and frameworks to solve sophisticated business problems, deploy innovative products, services and experiences for their customers! You will partner with product owners, tech leads, designers, data engineers and delivery professionals to hydrate our Enterprise Data Platform. You will bring excellent problem solving, communication and teamwork skills, strong business insight, an inclusive leadership attitude and a continuous learning focus to all that you do.

Collaborate with product owners in understanding needs and defining feature stories, tech leads in defining technical design and other team members to understand the system end-to-end and deliver robust solutions that bring about business impact.

Bring a strong understanding of relevant and emerging technologies, provide input and coach team members and embed learning and innovation in the day-to-day.

Work on complex problems in which analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables..

Ensures the team(s) lives Agile values and principles and follow the processes and practices that they agreed-upon to deliver the committed solutions.

Responsible for promoting and supporting Agile principles by helping everyone understand applied theories, practices, rules, and value.

True servant leader who serves the team(s) and larger organization.

Supports those outside the aligned team(s) to understand which of their interactions with the team(s) are effective and which arent helps everyone change these interactions to improve the value built by the Agile team.

Supports all aspects of risk management and impediment resolution.

Operate with a high degree of autonomy and accountability.

Skills and Requirements

5-7 years of direct Agile scrum experience

2+ years of Jira exp

Office Suite excel and PowerPoint (how you have used data and transformed it in excel to draw meaningful insights)

Expertise with Safe / Agile principles and frameworks, including story writing and estimation, facilitation, and identification and implementation of continuous improvement (CI).

Experience working and proficiency in performing the role of Scrum Master, including on teams charged with highly complex outcomes.

Expertise in facilitation and tracking of Objectives Key Results (OKRs), prioritization, backlog refinement, and specialty workshops.

Proven capabilities in: (i) delivery, (ii) reporting and metrics, (iii) Agile toolchains (Jira, Jira Align, Miro, etc.)

Proven experience as a Scrum Master or Release Train Engineer, or comparable Agile delivery leadership role.

Ability to coach others with minimal guidance and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization. BIG PLUS - Technology background/someone coming from the data world - AWS/ looking at pipelines, transformations understanding how ETL and data management work

JiraAlign (Agile craft) experience - portfolio management tool (why is jiraligned valuable in a scaled org)

Extra curricular at companies (doesnt care about just the scrum master)

Certified Scrum Master certification.

Technology background/someone coming from the data world - AWS/ looking at pipelines, transformations understanding how ETL and data management work

Experience in serving as a Scrum Master within the financial services industry on multiple teams. null
