　　PAY: $33.00 - $39.00 per hour

　　Hiring Bonus: $2,000 after 90 days and $2,000 after 180 days

　　POSITION PURPOSE:

　　This role is part of our Purina Animal Nutrition business helping our networkof local cooperatives, independent dealers and other large retailers serveproducers, and animal owners throughout the United States. 　　The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation,maintenance, and repair in support of the facility and production equipment.In this role, the technician will work with a variety of mechanical,electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems and controls. Superiorlogical-thinking and troubleshooting skills are critical. This position iscritical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility.

　　General Overview of Responsibilities:Service and repair of production related equipment including extensiveknowledge in the principles and practical application of pneumatics,hydraulics, chain/belt drives, bushings/bearings/idler systems,gearboxes, pumps, valves, fasteners, seals, gaskets, mechanicalfabrication, anKnowledge and purpose of lubrication as well as identifying best types oflubrication for situation.Welding/Cutting: Knowledge and utilization of PPE and safety for tasks,techniques (stick/mig/tig), set up of equipment, basic gascutting, proper grounding and equipment maintenance.Be able to troubleshoot and repair semi-complex mechanical machinery toinclude pumps, fans, meters, control valves, liquid and dry materialconveyance, direct and indirect belt and chain driven systems, pneumaticsystemMust have a working knowledge of basic electrical test apparatus.Intermediate ability to fabricate mechanical systems.Perform all other duties as assigned.

　　REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:Basic computer skills1+ years' of mechanical maintenance experience in a manufacturing,industrial, technical, military, or related environment OR 2 YearTechnical Deg

　　MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Age: 18 years or olderSafety: Ensuring the complete physical safety of oneself and one'sco-workers at all times without exceptionInspect machinery: Knowledge of check machine equipment for properperformance and detect faults and malfunctions. Diagnose malfunctions usingtesting equipment to determine the required repair.Write technical reports: Experience with compose technical customer reportsunderstandable for people without technical background.Perform machine maintenance: Familiarity with perform regular maintenance,possibly including corrections and alterations, on a machine or machine toolto ensure it remains in a proper productive state.Time Management: Showing up on time, reliably completing tasks by thedeadline, and adapting to changes in deadlines and priorities with minimalsupervision.Comprehension: Ability to read, write, comprehend, follow verbal andwritten instructions and possess basic mathematical skillsCoordination: Working well with others to meet team goals and adjusting toimportant changes
