Position:                             Social Worker

　　Reports to:                        SPED Director

　　Salary Range:                 $40,600 - $62,125 DOE

　　Minimum Qualifications Required:

　　Education:        Master’s degree in social work.

　　Experience:     No experience required; 3 years’ experience in the field preferred

　　Certification: Social Work or School Counseling certification

　　Language:        Bilingual in Spanish preferred.

　　Job Duties:

　　Assess student needs using multiple sources of data for the purpose of development and implementing individualized plans of services to support educational objectives.

　　Provides individual and group counseling to students with identified concerns and needs to assist with intervention and support with behavior, school progress, and/or mental or physical disabilities.

　　Implements prevention-oriented activities to meet student needs and goals of the program.

　　Uses data to discuss, develop, and continually improve the school counseling program.

　　Manages the school's referral process as part of the school's comprehensive school counseling program.

　　Assists in the development of individualized education plans.

　　Maintain data required by State and Federal regulations (including an updated student log) for all students for home services are provided.

　　Works with parent/guardians to teach students life skills.

　　Collaborates with administration and others on counseling plans.

　　Consult with parents, teachers and other school personnel for determining causes of, and solutions for, student needs.

　　Other assigned duties.
