Rotational shifts Every third weekend. JobSummary: About the unit: As a Level 1 Trauma Center, our Trauma patientpopulation is very dynamic and diverse. From the ED, the OR the ICU, thetrauma patient eventually arrives on 2NT. Our 32 bed unit requires bothteamwork and hard work to manage pain, wound care/dressing changes,family dynamics that are associated with trauma and the overall healingprocess until that patient can go safely on to a rehab facility or home.Our nursing staff, both RN\'s and CNAs do a great job working togetherto provide excellent patient care to all our patients every day! TheRegistered Nurse is a practitioner who is responsible for assessing,planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identifiedgroup of patients in an inpatient environment. This individualdemonstrates competency in delivery of care to a primarily adultpopulation. The Staff RN-Inpatient job description has incorporatedessential functions which are adapted from the ANA Nursing: Scope andStandards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010). EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of targetpatient populations specific to area of employment.EDUCATIONDESCRIPTION: Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice at alevel normally acquired through completion of education at an accreditedSchool of Nursing in order to be eligible for licensure as a RegisteredNurse is required. Upon hire any non-BSN nurse with less than one yearof licensed registered nurse experience will be required to enroll in aBSN (or higher nursing degree) program. Acceptance into a program isexpected within 15 months of hire and the degree program must becompleted within 5 years of enrollment, or 6 years if program is MSN,DNP or PhD in Nursing. Bachelor\'s...
