Tell me more about this opportunity.Position Overview: This position assists the Tax and Accounting Team andCrop Insurance Team with operational tasks that provide clients withinformation for credit, accounting, tax and management decisions.Essential Functions: * Prepares income tax returns for clients in atimely manner in accordance with the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) coderequirements and Compeer policies and procedures. * Analyzes accountingdata, creates and enters journal entries prior to importing taxinformation from accounting software. * Assists Tax Consultants withinput of client financial information for payroll filings andmonthly/quarterly accounting. Keys less complex accounting activities(depreciation, payroll and full-services accounts) into appropriateaccounting software. * Enters information accurately into the AIP(Approved Insurance Provider) systems (applications, endorsements,acreage reports and production reports) prior to each deadline. MinimumQualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Highschool diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree in businessadministration, accounting, agriculture or related field preferred. *3+ year of experience in accounting or tax in a financial institution orag related field. * Knowledgeable in all aspects of Compeer\'s productsand services. * Knowledge, technical competency and technologicaleffectiveness in tax and accounting preparation that meets client\'sneeds. * Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills,with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization. * Skillin developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships. * Highdegree of accuracy, attention to detail, organizational and timemanagement skills. * Strong problem solving, decision making andorganizational skills. * Strong computer skills, including MicrosoftOffice applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.* Ability to work with minimal supervision either individually or aspart of a team. * Ability to work overtime in order to meet deadlinesand client expectations. * Strong analytical skills with attention todetail. * Valid driver\'s license.
