As a Small Business Card Risk Strategy Senior Associate, you will be responsible for optimizing Credit Line Assignment (CLA) strategy. You will influence all aspects of strategy including design, implementation and monitoring while working closely with business partners. This role requires strong analytical skills, collaboration, and attention to detail to effectively deliver on behalf of the team and the business. You will be detail-oriented and results focused, and have a proven record of problem solving and collaborating with others, including direct and indirect leadership positions.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts specifically related to credit line assignment
Examine risk performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the assessment of risk vs. reward trade-off
Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which have implications on acquisition or portfolio management decisions
Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management
Present analytical findings and strategic recommendations to stakeholders
Partner with teams across product, finance, modeling, technology, legal, compliance, and risk controls to ensure strategies are optimal and operating in a controlled environment
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills:
Bachelors degree
Minimum 5 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience or Masters degree and minimum 3 years Risk Management or other quantitative experience
Advanced understanding of SAS, SAS Enterprise Miner, or other decision tree software
Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
Familiarity with risk analytic techniques
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and oral communication skills
