Job Summary
The Section of Hematology/Oncology is looking for a Research Technicianto work within the Patnaik Lab in the Department of Medicine.
Responsibilities
Under general supervision, the Research Technician performsmoderately complex lab and/or research-related duties and tasks.Maintains and orders equipment and supplies.Helps monitor compliance with institutional, state, and federalregulatory policies, procedures, directives and mandates.May orient or coordinate the work of research support staff andstudents.Responsibilities may include the following non-laboratory duties:assisting with developing or amending study protocols; assistingwith developing data collection tools; assisting with buildingdatabases; and providing general administrative support.Responsibilities may include the following laboratory duties:setting up and performing experiments; interacting with students andother laboratory staff under the direction of the principalinvestigator.Maintains technical and administrative support for a researchproject.Analyzes and maintains data and/or specimens. Conducts literaturereviews. Assists with preparation of reports, manuscripts and otherdocuments.Performs other related work as needed.Minimum Qualifications
