Job Title: SCADA and Controls EngineerJob Description:
We are currently seeking a SCADA and Controls Engineer to support DG control systems design and integration. This engineer will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of new automation systems, as well as the upgrade and maintenance of existing systems, utilizing cutting-edge technologies in renewable energy projects.
The successful candidate will maintain strong working relationships with management, supervisory positions, foremen, and electricians in their designated area. Timely and accurate preparation of engineering documentation and specifications is crucial for the successful implementation of projects and to meet customer documentation needs as agreed upon in the order of acceptance.
Moreover, the appointed engineer will establish procedures and standards in safety, communications, and performance testing, ensuring adherence by all relevant parties.
Responsibilities also include extracting and adhering to the contractual requirements as stated in power purchase agreements and interconnection agreements, ensuring that engineering and SCADA designs meet all deliverables.

Experience with PLCs (Schneider, IEC 611-31 Programming)
SCADA & HMI systems (Wonderware, Ignition)
HMI Panels & Panel PCs (Schneider, Red Lion, Eaton)
IT Infrastructure, Radios and Cell Modems (MDS, Freewave, Sierra, Ubiquiti)
Communication Protocols (Modbus, TCP/IP, MQQT, OPC)
Ability to generate Bills of Materials for Automation systems and panels
Soft Skills:
Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding engineering programs and activities
Ability to manage multiple complex and diverse projects which are critical to company objectives
Acts as a subject matter expert with internal and external customers on all aspects related to the Control and SCADA system for the project
Ability to manage consultants and suppliers to ensure timely completion of projects
Work Environment:
This role is based in a large corporate environment that fosters a collaborative work culture. The position includes up to 40% travel to site locations. Travel expenses will be covered for projects shorter than 30 days, while projects exceeding 30 days will be compensated with per diem. Overtime is paid at a straight time rate.
