　　Job Summary and Qualifications

　　Our Registered Nurses raise the bar by providing clinical expertise and the highest quality care in the most compassionate way. As part of our fast-paced AMB Prep and Recover department, prep and recovery RNs care for patients prior to and following a surgical operation or other invasive procedure. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and are seeking a phenomenal addition like you, who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

　　What you will do in this role:

　　You will perform a comprehensive nursing assessment of the pre/post-op patient and closely monitor vital signs and levels of consciousness as the patient recovers from the effects of anesthesia.

　　You will proactively observe and act accordingly to treat pain, nausea, and other patient post-op symptoms and any side effects of anesthesia.

　　You will perform post-op tasks such as changing bandages and administering medications.

　　You will provide education and emotional support appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstance and incorporate patient / family teaching into all aspects of nursing practice.

　　What Qualifications You Will Need:

　　Graduation from an accredited school of nursing

　　Current state of Missouri RN licensure required.

　　Excellent oral/written communication, interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills required.

　　BLS and ACLS certification required and maintained.

　　Prior medical-surgical experience preferred.

　　Answers telephones, maintain patient charts, logs data into computer
