　　Job Summary

　　This position is responsible for understanding all aspects of the application hospital contract terms and claims adjudication; including application of rates, reconciliation provisions, financial settlement allocations, and claim adjustments for enterprise pricing/discounting and reconciliation applications for the Illinois division. This position is also responsible for handling inquiries pertaining to monthly transparency reporting and reimbursement, including all related research, validations and resolution. Assist with provider/payor reimbursement transparency and out of network systems. Resolve provider issues by participation in providers calls, processing required financial reconciliations and/or working with other departments for resolution.

　　Required Job Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's Degree and 3 years understanding all aspects of the application hospital contract terms and claim adjudication, or 7 years understanding all aspects of the application hospital contract terms and claim adjudication.

　　Verbal and written communication skills to include facilitating meetings and presenting/writing to providers, vendors and senior management.

　　PC proficiency inclusive of spreadsheet/database software including Excel and Access

　　Preferred Job Qualifications:

　　Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Math or Health Care Experience in financial analysis with analytical focus.

　　Knowledge of hospital and institutional provider billing, payment methodologies, and managed care contracts.

　　Experience with software language such as SQL or SAS

　　*Programming skills/power user experience of analytic software tools.
