  Responsible for completing clearly defined assignments requiring the application of standard quality engineering practices related to new business activities, quality systems, processes, and products/materials, to assure compliance with customer technical expectations, and quality-related regulatory requirements, at minimum cost to the company. The relative contribution to each of the above will vary with the incumbent’s specific assignment.

  Job Responsibilities

  · Plan, coordinate and complete assigned Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Quality Improvement tasks in a timely, professional, and effective manner.

  · Identify, and communicate to the organization, all customer, regulatory and Parker-Lord product specific quality requirements, for assigned products and customers, and assist with internal quality planning efforts to assure compliance in a cost-effective manner.

  · Participate in the development, documentation implementation, audit and improvement of quality systems and processes, as assigned, to assure conformance and effectiveness.

  · Support company quality image through interface with customer personnel to clarify quality requirements and resolve quality problems in a professional, timely, effective, and cost-conscious manner with empathy to the needs of the customer.

  · Achieve ongoing improvements to customer satisfaction and quality metrics through team-based improvement activity, individual improvement initiatives and appropriate application of basic continuous improvement tools and methods.

  · Lead problem solving (8D) process and coordinate improvement activities to resolve product and process non-conformances for assigned products/materials and processes, with guidance.

  · Solve complex, non-routine technical problems. (Design and execution of investigations and troubleshooting, intermediate data analysis, intermediate report generation) With the support of the technical, analytical, and process teams implement technical solutions to challenging problems. Solutions are imaginative, thorough, practical, and consistent with organization objectives.

  · Lead efforts to increase the site’s maturity towards the Zero Defects program, including PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plan, SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement System analysis), and error-proofing.

  · Facilitate local Process Control Team (PCT) with cross-functional participation (i.e. production, process engineering), to review and solve shared product or manufacturing issues, whether internal or external.

  Participate in continuous improvement and Parker Lean System (PLS) such as Kaizen events, High Performance Teams, Value Stream Transformation, etc.

  Work Experience

  Required

  · At least 2 years’ experience in a related technical field.

  Education

  Required

  · BS Degree in engineering or related technical field (Chemistry, Biology, Industrial Science, etc.)

  Languages

  Required
