Kraemer North America is currently looking for a Project Engineer to join ourMountain West Region. As a Project Engineer, you will assist projectmanagement in coordinating resources, schedules and subcontractors foron-site engineering activities. You will ensure Kraemer crews are planningtheir work by following the Work Activity Plan process while adhering to andpromoting Kraemer's culture of Quality, Safety, Excellence. The ProjectEngineer will also assist the Project Manager to ensure the Five PointPlanning Process is implemented and followed.

Responsibilities
Ensure Work Activity Plans (WAP) are completedOversee and review WAPsWork with project superintendents and foremen on Work Activity Planning andTeam communicationProvide leadership and carry out our Kraemer safety culture in day to dayoperations and TEAM meetingsAssist with the administration and compliance of Kraemer Safety and QualityProgramsEnsure quality records are completed and documentedAssist with project planning; coordinate schedules, subcontractors, etc.Monitor project cost control and material/equipment inventory
Process routine paperwork: invoices, transmittals, submittals, etc.Assist the Project Manager with handling concerns, complications, etc. ofowners/agenciesAssist the foremen and superintendents with engineering-related problems thatoccur in the fieldParticipate in estimating processes when neededInteract with subcontractors, suppliers, owners and project managers whencoordinating project constructionMentor and develop field engineering staffAssist in identifying market opportunities for assigned region by establishingand maintaining effective contact with owners, subs, suppliers andpotential clientsEnsure compliance with EEO/Affirmative Action contract requirementsReview and submit RFIs; check for accuracy, process submittals and RFIsfrom subs and suppliersPerform CTCs with PMProcess internal and external CMOs
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management orequivalent experienceMinimum 3 years of previous heavy highway, roadway, or transportationindustry experience in bridge construction preferredExperience in formwork and false work engineeringStrong decision making and/or problem-solving skillsEffective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsEfficient in Microsoft Office applicationsPrevious experience working with document controlsPrevious experience with construction software and AGTEK/AutoCAD preferred
