Senior Portfolio Manager

GSAM's Municipal Fixed Income team is looking for a senior Portfolio Manager/Trader at the vice president level in New York. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Municipal Fixed Income team and assist in building relationships with dealers and counterparties, ensuring trade integrity, and providing analysis and feedback on portfolio construction. In addition to its trading responsibilities, the role will also include considerable interaction with engineering and client advisors The role will be focused on the Separately Managed Account (SMA) platform.

Key responsibilities

Allocate and execute trades across client portfolios Maintain and rebalance portfolios across strategies Work with engineering to increase automation, improve quality of data, and create new trading tools Responsible for advisor/client engagement related to markets and portfolio strategy Update and maintain reports for weekly/bi-weekly strategy meetingsSkills / Experience

7+ Years of Experience Numerical and analytic skillset with excellent attention to detail Background with portfolio management systems / Bloomberg a plus MBA and/or CFA preferred Comfort with discussing markets and portfolio strategy Keen interest in markets Strong interpersonal skills Ability to work well under pressure Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
