About Program Manager, AWS Risk & Regulatory Compliance

  Description

Amazon’s Legal Department is seeking a talented and experienced Program Manager to support Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS is at the forefront of the cloud computing service industry, providing IT infrastructure services such as on-demand compute capacity, storage, database, network and content delivery, artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IOT) services, and more. The successful candidate will join the AWS Legal Regulatory Risk Management & Compliance (R2MC) team.

As a Program Manager for R2MC, you will drive projects focused on development, implementation, and improvement of systems and processes that support AWS data center construction, operations, and compliance. You will collaborate with stakeholders across teams and provide legal operational support for a wide range of cutting-edge regulatory issues, including environmental, health and safety, trade, transportation and logistics, sustainability and social responsibility, and product safety compliance.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced environment. You will need the ability to root cause problems, think creatively and strategically to identify solutions for both the short- and long-term, and then effectively present your recommendations to stakeholders. You will be called on to manage large-scale programs and projects, facilitate agreement between teams with different – and sometimes competing – priorities, escalate or act with appropriate urgency to move projects forward even in the face of ambiguity, and communicate clearly both verbally and in writing.

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:

Arlington, VA, USA | Seattle, WA, USA

  Basic Qualifications

3+ years of program or project management experience

Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams

Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements

  Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience

Experience in defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics

Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization

  Bachelor's degree
