We are seeking a production manager to work in the Blairs, Virginia warehouse. The production manager will effectively manage all aspects of the production area, including helium filling, balloon production, and napkin production.
Responsibilities
Leads the production team to meet expected production goals.Effectively controls inventory, including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods.Ensures product consistently meets established quality control standards.Develops, monitors, and maintains departmental standards and costs.Develops, executes, and revises departmental SOPs to enhance quality, quantity, accuracy, and continuous improvement.Maintains records necessary for preparing and distributing accurate and timely reports.Complete and update work orders in JDE.Interacts with all areas of the department to understand issues and assess needs to improve consistency and integrity of processes.Responsible for daily management and supervision of departmental workforce, including providing direction, setting deadlines, and resolving problems. Administers corrective action according to company guidelines.Works with Human Resources to interview, select, and train employees to fill vacant positions.Annually prepares performance evaluations for departmental staff.Strives to continuously build knowledge and skills. Stays current with developments within the manufacturing and distribution field and shares expertise with others.Exhibits a professional manner in dealing with others and works to maintain constructive working relationships.A commitment to company-wide quality and safety is required.Performs other related duties as required and assigned.Qualifications
