  Principal Associate, Cyber Risk and Analysis

  As an associate in Capital One's Cyber Information Security Office, you will work with top talent in an entrepreneurial environment to solve problems and drive solutions to help the company reduce cyber risk.   Job Responsibilities:

  Analyze and interpret industry standards, regulations, and best practices to develop risk management tooling to identify cyber risk trends, gap analysis, and/or maturity opportunitiesNormalize and translate cyber risks at the organizational level to support a fully integrated, prioritized, enterprise-wide view of organizational risks to drive strategic and business decisionsUsing risk profiles and dynamic reporting mechanisms, cybersecurity risk information is incorporated into the organization's enterprise risk management program and utilized to provide a fully integrated, prioritized, enterprise-wide view of organizational risks to drive strategic and business decisionsHelp to enhance cyber risk management processes across Capital One by providing thought leadership, oversight, and coordination with other risk management activities across the companyExperience in risk evaluation/assessment methodologies, developing/maintaining a risk register, and, risk reporting and analysisAnalyze information to proactively identify risks, trends, and process improvements; supporting reporting on risk topics to managementAssist and drive project and program delivery, including project and process management, reporting, engagement in senior leadership meetings, drafting and reviewing materials for senior management and the Board of directors, and other governance activities.Build successful relationships with Tech, Cyber, and Enterprise Risk to understand the impact of cyber risk on business processes.Participate in risk and other management forums and contribute to continuous improvement of risk and project / program management practices.

  Candidates for this role will have:

  Deep understanding of risk management principles, and expertise in assessing cybersecurity controls, and a strong technical backgroundSelf prioritize and effectively plan your own work activities managing multiple priorities and tasks across the team to deliver quality results. Proactively take on additional work to support the team when possibleEstablish and maintain good working relationships during engagement. Effectively communicate information and project process to team and other stakeholders involvedAdvanced skill presenting findings, conclusions, alternatives, and information clearly and concisely

  Basic Qualifications:

  High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certificationAt least 4 years of experience with Risk Management Frameworks (RMF)At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity, risk, or technology industry standards (ISO 27001, NIST CSF and 800 series, MITRE ATTACK, MITRE DEFEND, FFIEC, COBIT, PCI-DSS, or FAIR)At least 4 years of experience developing, evaluating, or implementing cybersecurity, information technology, or risk assessment activities

  Preferred Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree5+ years of Risk Management experience in a Cyber or Information Security practice2+ years of experience in project management leading cross functional projects in RiskExperience with cloud risk, governance, control, or securityProfessional certifications such as CISA, CISM, CRISC, or CISSP

  The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below, by location. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Capital One is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

  New York City (Hybrid On-Site): $131,400 - $150,000 for Prin Assoc, Cyber Risk & Analysis

  Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
