　　Key Role Details

　　This is a paid internship that is full time, requiring 40 hours per week.

　　Participation in the internship requires that you are located in the continental United States with in-person attendance at your assigned location, in accordance with Capital One’s hybrid working model (https://www.capitalonecareers.com/a-hybrid-work-model-at-capital-one-101#::text=How%20our%20hybrid%20model%20works,independent%20and%20heads%2Ddown%20work.) , for the duration of the program.

　　Basic Qualifications

　　Current student of the University of Maryland, College Park; University of Illinois, Urbana Champaign

　　Currently pursuing a Bachelors or higher with an expectation that the most recent degree will be obtained by August 2025 or earlier

　　Must be continuing in the same course of study of the most recent degree following completion of the internship

　　At least 1 year of experience with Python

　　Preferred Qualifications

　　Currently earning a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field of study

　　At least 1 year of experience with machine learning and various subfields (deep learning, Graph ML, NLP, explainability, etc.)

　　At least 1 year of experience with relational databases

　　At least 1 year of experience with large scale data analytics

　　At least 1 year of experience with AWS

　　Demonstrated experience in contributing to open source projects and proficient use of Git/GitHub

　　Strong understanding of version control and collaborative development practices
