Description

Job Order Intake Call Notes:

· We are looking for a talented and experienced Power BI developer to join our team and help us build interactive dashboards from data stored in Microsoft SQL Server.

· The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Power BI, SQL Server, and data visualization principles.

· They will also be able to work independently to deliver high-quality products on time and within budget.

· ETL experience is needed and mentioned in the job description. Likewise with SQL and T-SQL on the database side. Hiring Manager said, “He doesn’t see a need to extend any tables from their data source with additional columns, so there won’t be a need DAX experience specifically, just general data modeling knowledge and experience within Power BI.”

Responsibilities:

· Work directly with business users to understand their needs and develop dashboards that meet their requirements.

· Collaborate with the application development team to understand the existing database schema and structure.

· Design, develop, and implement interactive dashboards using Power BI.

· Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Microsoft SQL Server into Power BI.

· Create and manage data models in Power BI.

· Develop and implement data visualizations using Power BI.

· Troubleshoot and resolve Power BI issues.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

· 3+ years of experience in Power BI development.

· 5+ years of experience with SQL/T-SQL.

· Strong understanding of SQL Server and data modeling principles.

· Experience with data visualization.

· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

· Excellent communication, requirements gathering, and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience with Azure.

· Applicable Microsoft Certifications such as: Power BI Data Analyst Associate.
