This position will assemble and organize production order packets derived from orders released by the Planning Team. The position will also interface physically with Stores area to facilitate order packet fulfillment process. Effective coordination with both Planning and Stores teams will be a key function of the role. Must be a team player and interact well with a diverse workforce.
Requirements:
Creates documentation for a production order, including the routing, material list, material shortages by production order, most current drawing, sticker, HOT note, and any other documents required for the packet.
Assemble production order packets for use by warehousing and operations.
Ensures packets are created same day as order releasing.
Facilitates efficient organization of packets for effective picking and audit process.
Create log of HOT orders to be shared with audit team so they are aware of the urgent nature of the order. (could be electronic or by use of a visual board)
Work with planning/production team members to communicate material shortages identified in picking and audit process.
Review packets remaining in Stores location >1 week and work with Stores team to determine root cause and next steps to progress the picking operation and delivery to the operations work cell.
Review material list on packets and identify whether REM-only (onsite or offsite) and notate on packet for use in the audit area.
Serve as point of contact for queries from Planning or Production teams regarding orders that have not been delivered to operations work cell. Be able to investigate and physically locate order in question and trigger picking/audit completion and delivery.
Understand onsite floor lay out. (What should go into lanes by departments).
Identify, communicate & address issues regarding packet progress through picking and delivery process.
Accomplish/exceed departmental goals.
Suggest solutions for improvements in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality and/or productivity.
Provide information for effective customer service which includes but is not limited to timely email replies, communicating issues involving material & capacity constraints, and estimated completion dates.

A. Education & Experience
High School Diploma/GED with +2 years job related experience with job
ERP experience, LN a plus
