　　The role you’ll contribute:

　　The Physical Therapy Assistant implements patient care for assigned patients under the direction of a Physical Therapist in accordance with the FPTA standards and pursuant to Florida Department of Professional Regulation, Chapter 486.021 (b): “The practice of PT Assistant means a person who is licensed in accordance with the provisions of this chapter to perform patient related activities, including the use of physical agents, whose license is in good standing and whose activities are performed under the direction of a PT as set forth in rules adapted pursuant to this chapter”.

　　· Responsible for providing treatment as directed by the Physical Therapist. Adheres to standards of Physical Therapy practice.

　　· Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with Physical Therapist.

　　· Performs all aspects of patient care in an environment that optimizes patient safety and reduces the likelihood of medical/health care errors.

　　· Demonstrates the ability to competently perform all items on the skills inventory/competency checklist.

　　· Manages and operates equipment safely and correctly.

　　Qualifications

　　The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

　　· Graduate of an accredited School for PT Assistant

　　· Physical Therapist Assistant degree

　　· Current Florida PTA license

　　· Valid BLS
