The Environmental Execution Team is seeking an Advisor who will function as Coordinator to fill a position supporting projects across multiple commodities (Vegetation Management, Distribution, Transmission, and Generation). In this position you will oversee environmental compliance execution support and provide oversight and leadership to meet client need dates. The position will address issues and solve problems to advance projects and provide timely and on budget project delivery while maintaining environmental compliance. In addition, the role is encouraged to incorporate a company-wide environmental strategy.

Responsibilities
Lead and document project budget and status for reporting requirements.
Act as an environmental subject matter authority on any assigned program/project answering technical and policy related inquiries.
Provide consultation with other SCE organization managers with respect to environmental compliance that guide SCEs long term goals.
Provide recommendations and highlight risks regarding intent of environmental laws and regulations to support projects.
Lead multi-disciplinary technical teams and external consultants to perform environmental analysis supporting construction.
Contribute to cross-functional teams (e.g., engineers, field crews) to address issues and solve problems to advance projects.
Provide innovative solutions to meet client needs
Assess and implement continuous improvement of processes and procedures.
Qualifications
The essentials
Seven years of experience with environmental compliance and permittingThe preferred
Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental studies, or management subject area.
Seven (7) years of experience in project management
Seven (7) years’ experience in leading or supervising projects in an environmental resource subject area (ex. Biology, wetlands, archaeology, etc.).
Experience as a subject matter authority in efficiently handling business risks, interacting with agencies, and identifying new and existing opportunities to minimize operational impacts
Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with business partners, cross-functional project teams with internal and external customers
Experience collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences including peers, clients, and contractors
Customer focused to understand and respond appropriately to clients’ business needs (i.e. Field Operations)
Demonstrated experience working on multiple projects simultaneously
Utility industry experience
Geographic Information System (GIS) experience
Project Management certification
Lean Six Sigma

This position’s work mode is hybrid. The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.
