PeaceHealth is seeking a full time Philanthropy Communications Specialist responsible for supporting multiple foundations in marketing efforts and engagement streams that grow Philanthropy awareness and donor acquisition, amplifying our mission and the stories of PeaceHealth Foundations to new and existing audiences. Focus on both donor and prospect engagement.
This role is remote however, the incumbent must reside in OR, WA, AK or TX and be willing and able to travel to PeaceHealth service area.
What you will enjoy:
Working with the foundations, executes fundraising marketing plans including the development of appropriate engagement communication streams that maintain & strengthen the goals of PeaceHealth philanthropy. Ensures all marketing efforts serve to achieve immediate and long-term organizational goals, identifying and executing improvements for processes and content.
Collaborating with the Advancement Services team on communications outreach, including newsletters or event copy. Works with annual giving, stewardship and planned giving departments. Coordinates with digital team to maximize reach and spread.
Assisting in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns by researching target donor markets; preparing marketing strategies, plans, and objectives; planning and organizing content; and maintaining calendars across all the foundations.
Developing working relationship with PeaceHealth Marketing and Communications teams to ensure adherence to organizational policies and brand standards. Aligns philanthropy content with PeaceHealth’s marketing and communication strategies, and which support various brand initiatives. Ensures that proper approvals are achieved for all communications.
Preparing marketing activity reports and metrics for measuring program success and use metrics to drive strategy changes and best practices.
Creating donor service line communications streams including drip campaigns and dynamic content streams for donors based on areas of affinity and giving.
Maintaining & implementing editorial and communications calendar across the foundations and lead efforts for collaboration with PeaceHealth Marketing and Communications teams.
Collaborates with internal teams to develop effective materials for cases for support, campaign materials, event collateral, annual report, etc.
Utilizing graphic experience, coordinating the development of graphic design projects for advertising and marketing initiatives, working with internal and external partners.
Coordinating relationships with external vendors to ensure high quality and timely execution of marketing initiatives within budget.
Developing and maintaining relationships with patient families, conduct interviews, and write patient stories for marketing use.
Researching, writing, proofreading, and editing copy for newsletters, social media, emails, press releases, and other marketing content, ensuring consistent voice.
What you will bring
Minimum of 3 years experience in marketing and/or communications.
Fundraising or non-profit experience preferred.
Prior experience with a wide range of marketing and advertising functions and strategy development, including copy writing, graphic design, social media, digital advertising, video, public relations, events, and agency/vendor management preferred.
Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office products; graphic design and video-editing software preferred.

Interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with diverse groups, including caregivers, physicians, donors, boards, volunteers, and administrators.
Strong written communication skills to prepare, proofread, and edit a variety of correspondence and reports for correct grammar, punctuation, spelling and syntax with excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional skill in communicating persuasively to a wide range of audiences, both orally and in writing, about private gift fundraising.
Team player who has a commitment to, upholding and demonstrating the values of PeaceHealth (Stewardship, Communication, Respect, Collaboration).
Strong organizational and time management skills and meticulous attention to detail; the ability to set, negotiate, and meet priorities and produce high-quality work under multiple deadline pressure and within a busy environment.
Demonstrated self-motivation and ability to advance work independently.
Ability to work in a matrixed complex business environment while maintaining effective working relationships with stakeholders and collaborators across the organization.
Firm grasp on all marketing platforms and best practices, including social, digital, email, web development, and content management systems, with preferred experience in fundraising. Platform experience should be technical.
Understanding of marketing analytics and data driven strategy outcomes.
Experience with the following software: CRM platform, email marketing, video & graphic design software.

PeaceHealth is seeking a Philanthropy Communications Specialist for a Full Time, 1.00 FTE, Day position. The general salary range for this job opening at PeaceHealth is $29.48 – $44.22. The actual hiring rate is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to, the job/position responsibilities, location, terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement, education, training, work experience, seniority, work performance, etc.
