　　Job Summary:

　　The Pharmacy Technician assists in the provision of pharmaceutical services under the direct supervision of the Registered Pharmacist by performing the technical, clerical, and manipulative tasks involved in dispensing, preparing, and distributing all medications and pharmaceutical products for all patient age groups (including geriatrics, and adults). The Pharmacy Technician delivers medication, returns discharged medications to the pharmacy, and fills the PYXIS machines.

　　Education/Training/Certification/Licensure:

　　High School graduate or equivalent required. Associates degree preferred.

　　Registered Pharmacy technician or registry eligible within six months of hire required.

　　Prior pharmacy experience preferred.

　　Proficient in use of Pharmacy computer, and other departmental software, as required for position.
