Scheduled Weekly Hours:40 Job Description: The PatientLiaison works as a team member to assist internal and external customersassuring accurate and complete registration, scheduling appointments,demographic information, insurance coverage, collecting payments andmonitoring customer satisfaction. Major Responsibilities: 1. RepresentsGundersen Health System\'s high standards for customer service in alltelephone and face-to-face encounters through courteous, patient andrespectful conduct and conversation. 2. Communicates effectively withpatients, family members and Gundersen Health System staff to scheduleappointments, admissions, surgeries, tests and procedures utilizing goodcustomer service skills. Provides information and instruction in aconfidential manner to prepare patients for current and futureappointments. Uses CWS (clinical workstation) to respond to the requestsof MD, nurses, MA\'s to create, update and/or print patient\'s protectedhealth information to assist with completion of documentation. 3.Responsible to ensure accurate and complete data for promptlyregistering patients, gathering, verifying and up-dating demographics,as well as insurance and benefit information to drive a timely billingprocess for our patients. 4. Demonstrates and maintains successfulcompletion of defined core competencies in computer skills related topatient registration and appointment scheduling, insurance, cashcollection and department computerized schedules. 5. Works within theorganizational financial guidelines to collect payment and assistcustomers with financial need for payment of services, utilizingappropriate resources. 6. Obtains appropriate signatures on formsrelating to registration, billing, and patient care, meeting allcompliance regulations and requirements. 7. Assists in obtainingestimates for patient responsibility and notifies guarantors prior totreatment according to published organizational standards. 8. Keepscurrent through periodic in-service on registration policies,procedures, insurance guidelines and other information related toposition. 9. Solicits and responds to customer complaints/concernseither in writing or verbally, using appropriate resources. 10. Views,documents, or prints from the patients electronic health record toassist with coordination of patient care. 11. Performs other job-relatedduties as assigned. Education and Learning: REQUIRED High School Diplomaor equivalency Work Experience: REQUIRED 1 year experience in an officesetting requiring customer service responsibilities and computercompetency in Microsoft Windows. DESIRED 1 year experience in a medicalfacility setting and/or extensive customer service experience.License...
