JOB REQUIREMENTS: PRIMARY PURPOSE: The Automation Assembly Technician isresponsible for working from Solid Works/e-drawing, 2D mechanical, andelectrical prints to assemble fabricated parts, purchased components,and wiring into custom builds for our customers. The project processwill frequently require the technician to assist in organization of thematerials and light fabrication duties. This job requires the technicianto work closely with the mechanical and electrical engineering teams onthe assembly process. In addition, this technician works closely withothers to execute testing procedures on the assembled automationsystems. This is a Full Time, 1st shift, Monday - Friday position. MAJORDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Assembles machinery, fabricated parts,electrical equipment, and more according to designs from the engineeringteam. Assists with production and project work by managing assignedtasks. Interprets technical documents, such as diagrams, schematics, orblueprints. Aligns, fits, or assembles component parts using hand tools,power tools, fixtures, or templates. Builds ethernet connections,places/mounts/wires sensors. Maintains technical and operationaldocumentation. Conducts quality inspections on products and parts.Performs preventive or corrective maintenance. Collaborates with otherteam members and uses creative problem-solving skills to work throughchallenges. Breaks down completed systems and prepares finished productsfor shipment. Installs finished systems on customer site. Maintains aclean and orderly work area. Follows all safety rules, such as safe workpractices and standard operating procedures. Performs other duties asassigned. Travel is required approximately 15% of the job. Travel forthis position is generally limited to single days for troubleshooting,service, repair, or installations. Occasional overnight travel may benecessary with stays as long as a week. This travel is typically withina 400-mile radius of the metropolitan Milwaukee area but may be locatedelsewhere in the contiguous United States. Review work orders andblueprints to ensure work is performed according to specifications.Rotate through all the tasks required in a particular productionprocess. Determine work assignments and procedures. Provide assistancein the production of wiring assemblies. ***** OTHER EXPERIENCE ANDQUALIFICATIONS: MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED High SchoolDiploma, or GED. Basic ability in mathematics, reading, and writing.Software proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, and Office 365.Experience with hand tools. Detail oriented. Must be able to work wellas a productive member of a team. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Experiencewith basic electrical assembly. Experience with assembly tools andmaterials. Experience in a manufacturing/assembly environment. GENERALSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS Ability to handle physical workload. Ability towork well with teams, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and adapt toprocess change. Ability to adapt to changes in work schedule based onproject demands. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Able to regularly lift and/ormove up to 25 lbs., and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Prolonged periods of standing and repetitive tasks that require manualdexterity. Able to use close vision, distance vision, depth perception,color determination, and adjustment of focus. Regularly required to sit,stand, walk, talk and hear. Occasionally required to bend, twist, climb,kneel and balance. Repetitive dexterity is required to use hands tograsp, reach and operate objects, tools or controls. Occasional exposureto a production environment. Must comply with any safety or PPErequirements.
