As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase within the Corporate Technology, Chief Administrative Office Technology, you will function as a seasoned member of an agile team. Your responsibility will be to design and deliver reliable, industry-leading Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP) technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner.
In your role, you will design and deliver secure SAP technology products, implement crucial technology solutions, and support the firm's objectives. You should possess skills in Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and have a background in SAP Accounts Payable/Receivables and General Ledger.
Job responsibilities
Develop applications as a team member contributor.
Provide regular updates and status to management team.
Provide guidance to junior resources and consultants on good coding practices.
Design, develop and support application solutions with in R3 and S/4 HANA.
Develop and/or re-engineer complex application components and integrate software packages, programs and reusable objects residing on multiple platforms.
Design and implement Automated Unit testing framework to drive best practices using ABAP Units / ABAP Double.
Develop RESTful and SOAP based API interfaces for various SAP components for external consumptions or helping setup cloud deployments.
Help design the framework to create working prototypes using the wireframe tools and enabling the Design Thinking methodology.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills.
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience in SAP ABAP language.
Development experience in RICEFW (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, Reports & Workflow)
Experience working with BADIs, User exits, BTE, APIs, Screen builders and Smart Forms
Object Oriented Programming using ABAP Objects required.
SAP HANA Technical Concept and Architecture knowledge needed.
Experience working in Agile Projects.
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Experience on S4 HANA implementations along with knowledge of HANA CDS views.
Data modelling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA, ADBC, Native SQL, ABAP Core data Services, Data Base Procedures, Text Search, ALV on HANA, and HANA Live models consumption.
Design and develop applications with consumption of ODATA services and experience with Restful APIs.
