　　Position Summary:

　　Validates and registers all patients’ demographic, medical and financial information in an accurate, complete, and timely manner in accordance with the departmental standards and procedures.

　　Required:

　　4-6 months prior medical clerical experience, or Associate Degree in healthcare related field.

　　Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

　　Knowledgeable of computer programs such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and other programs used by McLaren.

　　Preferred:

　　Knowledge of health insurances and respective regulations.

　　Demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate with patients about insurance deductibles and copays.

　　Ability to explain healthcare policies included but not limited to HIPPA, informed consent and patient identification.
