Emerson is currently seeking a Parts Strategic Supply Chain Manager. This position will report directly to the Direct, Parts Operations & Technology and will be responsible for driving materials management standard processes across the Emerson Parts business. Some important areas of focus will be: improving lead-time on parts, parts supplier regionalization (e.g., from where do parts enter Emerson’s parts distribution network), cost reductions and progressing the use of additive technology for the creation and delivery of parts.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
Parts Supplier Optimization
Utilize effective strategic sourcing principles to improve parts supply chain managementRegionalization
Improve parts sourcing regionalization by developing and implementing strategic sourcing initiativesLead Time
Improve lead times with supplier development, perfect execution principles, and regionalization and progressing use of parts 3D printingCost
Drive to world class parts sourcing costs with effective use of make vs buy and strategic sourcing initiatives

For This Role, You Will Need:
Bachelor’s degree in Business or Engineering
Experience working in a strategic supply chain role
Possess leadership and strong intellectual skills, with common sense strengths
Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint.
Critical thinking skills and ability to fairly and completely evaluate alternatives
Ability to deal with and solve complex problems with limited information
General knowledge of financial reporting parameters and operational indicators
Knowledge of strategic sourcing and contract management principles
Ability to utilize perfect execution principles to improve supplier lead times
Ability to abstract and provide meaningful summaries from large amounts of data
Ability to synthesize inputs from numerous and disparate sources to provide clear direction
Well-developed interpersonal skills.
Ability to network in a multi-tiered global organization to gather information required
Ability to provide concise and clear presentations
Ability to complete project in accordance with pre established timelines
Proactive, high-energy style
