Job SummaryThe Accountant revises the daily transaction processed by the Business Unit or Department; verifies accounting information monitors and reconciles the accounts of the department. Also analyzes financial information and prepares financial reports to determine or maintain record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Essential Responsibilities• Analyzes and performs reconciliation of accounts related to Bank and its subsidiaries ongoing projects, as well as capitalizes the projects.• Processes payments, analyzing the checks requisition received, performing the related accounting entries, also prints checks and sends payments.• Attends internal and external client's inquiries, including transactions investigations.• Posts and revises accounting entries.• Analyzes records of financial transactions to determine accuracy and completeness of entries, using the computer.• Performs accounts reconciliations of the department, and entries related information on the appropriated Information Systems, also the incumbent can monitor and audit accounts reconciliation.• Monitors accounts daily movements, and refer to management when appropriate.• Contributes to the Department team effort, achieving additional results as needed.Other Responsibilities• Contributes to the Department team effort, achieving additional results as needed.• Develops and runs special projects as requested by supervisor.Minimum RequirementsA Business Administration Bachelors Degree with a minor in Accounting or Finance, or similar/equivalent related experience is required for this position. The incumbent must have from at least one year of experience on a similar position.
