Kforce has a client that is seeking an Operations Manager (Electro-Mechanical) in Pasadena, CA.Summary:The Operations Manager (Electro-Mechanical) will lead and execute a broad scope of operational responsibilities necessary to launch innovative products on time, on budget, and to demanding quality expectations. Responsibilities include procurement, supplier selection and qualification, demand planning, logistics, order fulfillment, and Quality Management System development and execution. The role also involves serving as a Project Manager for various projects of varying complexity, requiring strong relationships across internal and external multidisciplinary teams. Excellent communication is crucial to ensure project status and risks are known team-wide for on-time, on-budget milestone accomplishment.The Operations Manager (Electro-Mechanical) begins as an individual contributor and, as the business grows, will participate in designing the necessary structure and lead subsequent members of the Operations Team.What you'll do:
Be the principal day-to-day contact for vendors and manufacturing partners, managing supplier performance, costs, and compliance with contract
Execute day-to-day procurement for both direct materials and other purchasing requirements needed for smooth functioning
Develop the product demand and capacity plan in collaboration with stakeholders to create a repeatable planning cycle supporting company and manufacturing partner needs
Create an order fulfillment process for on-time delivery, high-touch customer service, and follow-up, supported by a logistics strategy and implementation plan
Work with Finance and Sales teams to develop quote-to-cash and procure-to-pay processes for a rapidly growing business environment
Efficiently convert high-level objectives into actionable plans supporting the product lifecycle from engineering development to running production
B.S. degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering
5 years of experience in product, supply chain, and operations in an ISO 9001, ISO 13485, FDA compliant, or equivalently highly regulated environment
High energy, biased for action, and proactive communication style
Startup or rapid business growth experience preferred
Structured problem-solving skills for complex problems and viable solutions
Ability to evaluate different manufacturing processes
Ability to work cross-functionally and independently in a Design and Manufacturing environment
Willingness to travel to meet with suppliers as necessary to support company success
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
