　　Controller opportunity based in Greater Waterbury CT area!

　　VERY FLEXIBLE TO REMOTE WORK - OPEN TO 3-4 DAYS REMOTE OR FULLY REMOTE CANDIDATES!

　　We have partnered with a growing financial services organization looking to add a Controller to their team. As the Controller, you will be responsible for leading the accounting and finance function for this business unit including managing the accounting team, financial planning, budgeting and reporting. This role will also be an integral part of process improvements, system implementations, and automation projects!

　　Main responsibilities (but not limited to):

　　Lead, guide, and oversee the finance and accounting team.

　　Manage the production of the annual budget and forecasts and monitor them monthly.

　　Generate financial forecasts.

　　Support Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm-wide improvements, with research, planning, and implementation.

　　Identify opportunities for enhancing financial performance and assess potential business expansion.

　　Take charge of preparing all financial reports for the business unit, ensuring compliance with the parent company's audit and regulatory requirements

　　Collaborate with management colleagues and the parent company's finance team and executives.

　　Requirements:

　　7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　Strong familiarity with budget forecasting

　　Eager to be hands-on with process improvements, system implementations, etc.

　　Strong GAAP knowledge

　　Prior experience in public accounting is preferred.

　　Lease accounting experience is a plus!

　　Financial services experience is a plus!
