POSITION SUMMARY:
The primary function is to assist with the supervision of daily operations, provide customer assistance, scheduling staff and backup Operations Assistant positions as necessary, maintain social media, general office procedures, and plan and implement community camps and programs. This position is responsible for training and scheduling lifeguards, ensuring that all policies and procedures are continually met for safety and positive customer experiences.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:
Responsible for supervising, planning, promoting, and implementing a community instructional swim program, water exercise classes and at least one lifesaving class per year, under the supervision and direction of the
FRC Manager.
Assist with the supervision of daily operations including: membership sales, cash handling, customer service, staff supervision and the set up/teardown of equipment for programs, special events or other miscellaneous activities, in accordance with established
FRC procedures.
Assist in emergency situations, which may involve providing care or supervising the implementation of emergency procedures.
Supervise or assist with preventative maintenance and regular cleaning of exercise equipment, aquatic equipment and F&RC facilities.
Serve as point person for resolving problems and/or customer service issues, while maintaining a positive customer experience.
Provide assistance to members in a safe and helpful manner on basic use of equipment and interpretation of Fitness Center policies.
Communicate regularly with the management of the Fitness Center and provide additional assistance when requested.
May be asked to open or close facilities on occasion based on staffing needs.
Monitor membership sales and provide sales reports to the management team as requested.
May also support the
FRC by acting as the manager on duty as needed.
Work with the
FRC manager to improve the quality of facility programs for members and communicate to them about new programs that will entice them to refer their friends and family members.
Coordinate a member feedback system; provide reporting; and respond to routine member questions or concerns, forwarding others to the
FRC manager for response.
Social media including Tik Tok, Facebook, and Instagram. Development of
FRC member newsletter.
Develop and market
FRC camps throughout the year, during school downtimes and summer months. Partner with athletics, academics, and other college departments as needed to provide a cohesive opportunity.
Monitor all fitness areas by continuously walking throughout the floor. Be aware of patrons and activities taking place at all times.
Review user policies/procedures with patrons as needed to ensure understanding and adherence along with training staff. Enforce all
FRC policies and procedures in a consistent manner.
Prepare facility for daily opening/closing by following established procedures.
Report all maintenance issues to the Manager.
