　　Periodically, adjunct teaching positions become available in Farmingdale's programs in Criminal Justice: Law Enforcement Technology (LET) and Criminal Justice: Police Courts and Corrections (PCC). These Bachelor of Science degree programs are theoretical and technical programs that prepare students for careers in law enforcement on the local, state, and federal levels. The LET program blends coursework in computers, forensic science, crime prevention, technology and law to provide students with the necessary skills to control crime as well as to conduct investigations of crimes committed on a computer or at a crime scene. The PCC program blends coursework in policing, courts and corrections to provide students with the necessary skills to pursue careers in various disciplines within criminal justice.

　　This current posting is for individuals with education and experience in Crime Analysis in order to teach courses in Crime Analysis, Crime Mapping and/or Criminal Intelligence. The applicant should have specific knowledge about crime analysis practices and tools (e.g. software), the identification of crime patterns, compiling crime data for analysis and interpretation, crime mapping tools and techniques, geographic information systems (GIS), and criminal intelligence. Candidates should be able to follow the intelligence cycle to obtain, analyze, interpret and present crime data; and to convey concepts of detecting, preventing and reducing crime.

　　A minimum of a Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Statistics, Data Science, GIS or a closely related field. Candidates with Master's Degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate education, experience and/or scholarship in crime analysis, crime mapping and/or criminal intelligence.
