　　Under the administrative direction of the Oncology Social Work Manager, the Social Worker will provide Psychotherapeutic and emotional support to patients and their families to cope with chronic, acute, or terminal illnesses. The Social Worker will provide therapeutic interventions designated to promote health and address barriers to healthcare. The Social Worker will facilitate support groups, provide psychoeducation, address concrete needs and provide community referrals, as appropriate. The Social Worker will be responsible for identifying safety issues, such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas), as well as medical errors, etc.)

　　Requirements:

　　Graduation from an accredited graduate school of social work with an MSW (Masters in Social Work) degree.

　　LIcensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) required, or Licensed Social Worker (LSW) working toward clinical licensure

　　Prior experience in Medical Social Work required

　　Oncology experience preferred

　　Willing to apply for oncology certification by second year of employment
