What You Will Do: A registerednurse with advanced education and training in care of at-risk andhigh-risk neonates. Responsible for the nature and quality of nursingcare of critically ill neonates.Under the direction of a physician theNNP manages neonatal patients using collaboration, consultation, anddirect care. The NNP is involved with the education of nursing staff,residents and students. Including: Maintains credentialswith proceduralprivileges through the medical staff officesat WMH and OMH. MaintainsNeonatal NCC certification Participates in multidisciplinary mortalityand morbidity rounds Participates and coordinates as needed in researchactivities within the NICU. Provides procedural support to the EDfornewborn/infant code blue. Qualifications: Displays a positiveattitude about themselves, work and staff. Possesses excellentcommunication skills. Meets all necessary competencies within 6 monthsof hire. Possesses computer skills.
