In addition, care is provided to patients awaiting heart transplants, as well as those with implantable devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators or Ventricular Assistive Devices (VAD). Specialized patient care also centers on pre and post cardiac catherization, ablation, and chemical cardioversion using the anti-dysrhythmic medication Tikosyn. In addition, LT5 is also the back-up location for the hospitalist services which provides a more broad medical-surgical experience for nursing.Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
