This position provides support to the maintenance and operation of the Maintenance Department by overseeing and supervising the grounds and labor crews.   DESCRIPTION OF WORKAs a member of the maintenance crew, the Labor Foreman 2 works with a crew of labor personnel in all aspects of grounds and facility repair. In this position, you will also perform supervisory duties such as interviewing and evaluating perspective employees, completing accident and injury reports, and completing necessary employee evaluations, work orders, and requisitions. Safety is a high priority for our patients as well as for the employees of Torrance, and your part to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and visitors is to strive to keep the hospital facilities throughout the complex in attractive and good working order.

  Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week.Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.The Department of Human Services provides excellent benefits, pay increases, paid leave and holidays, as well as opportunities for career advancement.Travel and overtime, including emergency call-in, as needed.FREE PARKING!Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
