About the role:
We at CBRE are currently seeking a Net Zero Program Technical & Administrative Support Engineer. Support the measurable reduction of embodied carbon across our client's global fleet of hyperscale data centers to help our client reach it's "NET ZERO Goals"!
Estimating the embodied and non-embodied carbon of the client's entire fleet of global data center campuses.
Supporting the tracking of embodies GHGs in materials for the client's program
Supporting the development of a GHG reduction plan for the client's program
The "Net Zero Program Technical & Administrative Support Engineer" will provide technical and administrative support to the client's Net Zero Program Team! This includes tasks such as data collection and analysis, report writing, and outreach. A strong understanding of industrial building construction, building design engineering / architecture, and very strong experience in measuring embodied carbon and related sustainability principles.
What you will do:
To perform this job successfully, an individual to perform each duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
In this role, the ideal candidate will have had experience collaborating with architects, building engineers, general contractors, and other external stakeholders. Experience in providing mentorship and implementation strategies that will significantly reduce or eliminate carbon emissions.
Working with general contractor to supervise construction-related purchases per project.
Estimate the emissions associated with each data center project.
Establish data infrastructure and maintain large data sets for the tracking material purchase and respective GHGs.
Develop a mechanism to match purchase to EPDs in EC3 (or other repository) to calculated as-built emissions.
Help develop an embodied GHG Reduction Plan for client's data center construction projects.
Conduct post-construction evaluations to assess efficiency of sustainability measures for future improvements.

What you’ll need:
Engineering Degree (relating to Energy & Sustainability, or Architectural Engineering, Environmental Science Engineer or other related engineering degrees
7+ year of experience in sustainability engineering or related scope.
Direct experience in tracking of embodies GHGs in materials, especially construction materials is strongly preferred.
