Our organization welcomes your insights and ideas. Parsons is looking for a talented, hands-on Environment, Safety and Health subject-matter expert professional to join our team!
We are delivering agile and innovative customer-driven solutions to NNSA at the Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina. Our organization has been NNSA’s trusted advisor for more than 10-years on some of the country’s most complex and critical design and construction projects. Parsons was recently awarded a third 5-year contract to continue our services to NNSA. You will be part of a diverse and engaged team providing integrated support to the NNSA Savannah River Site Acquisition & Project Management Office (NA-94) multi-billion project portfolio of infrastructure upgrades and capital line item projects. The portfolio includes design, equipment fabrication, construction, and commissioning of a complex, plutonium processing facility.
What You'll Be Doing:
As an Owner’s Agent, you will be supporting NNSA Federal Project Directors by providing technical advice and oversight of NA-94 projects.
Provide innovative or alternate approaches as a technical consultant in Environmental, Safety, and Health Management.
Conduct assessments and review sampling data to help ensure worker health and safety.
Review designs, statements of work and other documents and provide formal ES&H.
Provide performance feedback from oversight of contractor and supplier safety performance in the areas of design, procurement, construction, commissioning, monitoring, and reporting.
Work as an embedded member of the Federal Team at the project site located at the Savannah River Site - Aiken, South Carolina.
Qualifications:
4-year degree in related technical field and 15+ years of broad diversified technical (environmental health and safety) experience.
Experience with federal and state health and safety regulations for work associated with construction on large complex projects
Great written and oral communication skills
Ability to identify potential risks and actions to mitigate potential impacts to safety, schedule, and cost on a large complex nuclear project.
Ability to partner and team with NNSA Federal staff and the NNSA Management and Operations contractor and their lower-tiered contractors
Environmental Health and Safety certification (e.g., Certified Industrial Hygienist) preferred
Clearance Requirements
Active federal government security clearance (preferred) or ability to be granted a security clearance and maintain it is required.*the jobsite is in Aiken, SC; local candidates are preferred

Salary Range:
$113,100.00 - $203,600.00
