Join our team as a Medical Technologist and play a pivotal role in providing excellent patient care. Your primary responsibilities will include preparing patient samples for testing, determining specimen acceptability, and ensuring accurate results through repeated testing. You will perform a variety of tests in Hematology, Chemistry, and Urinalysis using advanced techniques such as ELISA, RNA extraction, and flow cytometry. Additionally, you will maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation, prepare and label reagents and specimens, and report test results timely. Your role is crucial in participating in quality assurance and improvement activities, managing supplies, and taking appropriate action on test results as per laboratory protocols.

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Portland, Oregon.

Work Environment

You will be working in a large hospital lab which serves as the central lab for all inpatient patient samples. The environment is fast-paced and high-throughput, requiring efficient and accurate handling of various patient samples and tests. The job includes a Monday to Friday schedule with every third weekend, totaling 40 hours per week. Shift start times range from as early as 4:30 AM to as late as 7:30 PM. Initial contracts are for 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.
