Our Mt. Vernon, IL location is seeking a highly self-motivated andpassionate Maintenance Technician to join our Engineering & Maintenancegroup. The ideal candidate has strong troubleshooting and excellentelectrical and/or mechanical skills, is dependable and accountable.

THE POSITION
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintenance functionsassociated with mechanical and electrical equipment within the plant.
1. Maintenance Technicians must be able to install and maintain piping,both Ferris and Non-Ferris, screwed, welded, flanged or otherwisecoupled; shut-offs, controls, check valves, traps, strainers, and alldevises normally found in process and service piping.
2. Maintenance Technicians must be able to do machinist work, usecommon machine tools to cut, shape, form, etc. and other materials intoshape.
3. Maintenance Technicians must be able to troubleshoot as a mechanic,use common hand tools to adjust, replace worn and broken parts of astructural, rotating, reciprocating or running nature.
4. Maintenance Technicians must be able to do carpentry work, usewoodworking tools for the purpose of repairing wood structures,construction of crating, the cutting of blocking etc.
5. Maintenance Technicians must be able to do sheet metal work for therepair of duct work, machinery guards, drip pans, tanks, vent hoods, andvarious other types of equipment using light to medium gauge metal.
6. Maintenance Technicians must be able to weld, both electric and gas,flat weld and pipe welding in any position.
7. Maintenance Technicians must be able to troubleshoot and repaircontrol devices and motors in the 110 V AC to 4160 V AC range.
8. Maintenance Technicians maintain power transformers.(4160,460,460/110) and lighting transformers. (4160/277).
9. Maintenance Technicians must be able to troubleshoot and repairrelay/limit switch logic devices.
10. Maintenance Technicians must be able to electronic troubleshoot andrepair electronic type control devices that utilize solid statecomponents, transistors, diodes, VDC. This repair includes printedcircuit board assemblies.
11. Maintenance Technicians must be able to trouble shoot, program andrepair PLC\'s.
12. Maintenance Technicians must be able to trouble shoot and repaircontrol devices used in conjunction with plant service in steam, water,air, etc. These control devises may be electrical or mechanical.
13. Maintenance Technicians must be able to effectively communicatewith maintenance supervision, other engineering personnel, areadepartment supervision.
14. Maintenance Technicians will follow all plant policies,environmental policies, and plant and departmental safety policies.Must/Will be certified to operate a Fork Lift through the SafetyDepartment.
15. Maintenance Technicians will accurately and correctly record jobtime and accurately record/sign-in service/attendance time.
16. Perform other duties as directed by the Maintenance Supervision orDepartment Manager.
