The HVAC Maintenance Technician, working under direct supervision, carries out regular maintenance tasks on heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems. This includes servicing air distribution equipment, split systems, package units, fan coils, digital controls, and variable volume systems. They record operational data and technical information in a log or computer system.
Key Responsibilities:
Support senior technician in performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and inspecting HVAC systems, changing filters, lubricating parts, and checking system performance.
Help diagnose and resolve basic HVAC system issues, such as temperature inconsistencies, airflow problems, or unusual noises.
Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. This includes proper handling of tools, equipment, and materials, as well as following safety regulations and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE).
Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities, including work performed, parts used, and any additional recommendations or observations.
Interact with customers in a professional and courteous manner, addressing their questions or concerns and providing basic information about building systems and maintenance.
Continuously learn and develop your knowledge and skills in HVAC maintenance through on-the-job training and participation in training programs or workshops
Assist with facility-related tasks that do not fall within the scope of HVAC responsibilities
Preferred Knowledge/Skills:
High School diploma or equivalent required
Basic understanding of HVAC systems and components
Good problem-solving skills and ability to use hand and power tools
Exceptional eye for detail and a strong skills for adhering to instructions
Strong communication and customer service skills
Proficiency in both independent work and collaboration
Willingness to acquire knowledge and adapting to new technologies and industry trends
Physical stamina to complete tasks that may involve heavy lifting and climbing
Capability to perform tasks at elevated heights using aerial lifts, scaffolding, stepladders, extension ladders, and maneuvering in confined spaces around equipment

Base Pay Range
The full base pay range has been provided for this position. Individual base pay will vary based on work schedule, qualifications, experience, internal equity, and geographic location. Sales roles often incorporate a significant incentive compensation program beyond this base pay range.
