The Mechanical EngineeringIntern will collaborate across the organization on efforts involvingdesign for manufacturability and cost savings. Duties andResponsibilities: Work collaboratively in a team to implementmanufacturing process improvements Collaborate with program mentors andchampions to identify best methods for automating processes Utilize astructured engineering approach to deploy best practices for processcontrol and to improve yields Initiate and/or update documentation ofprocesses into work instructions Compares existing manufacturingpractices with external benchmarks and industry best practices andproposes appropriate improvements. Maintains knowledge on currentindustry standards Leads capital project efforts to resolve productioncapacity and technology capability issues Present multiple projectupdates to the local leadership team Limited travel required forworkshops and trade shows Essential Knowledge and Skills: Requiresability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specificationsProject management and structured problem solving with the ability tomake data-based and ethical decisions Eagerness to learn quicklyCapability for designing and analyzing experiments utilizing statisticaltools Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including strongverbal, writing and presentation skills Ability to lead and participateeffectively in cross-functional teams Education and Experience: Currentcollege junior earning Bachelor\'s degree in Mechancial EngineeringExperience in applying engineering concepts to solve problems.
