　　At a Glance

　　Legrand has an exciting opportunity for aMechanicto join theElectrical Wiring Systems Wiremold Teamin West Hartford, CT. The Mechnaic will install, repair and maintain a variety of equipment and facilities.

　　What Will You Do?

　　Installs, repairs, and maintains all production equipment, special purpose manufacturing systems, office and factory support equipment, and building facilities.

　　Repairs, modifies, and maintains all factory buildings, loading docks, outbuildings, interior offices in factory and office.

　　Repairs, modifies, and maintains all manufacturing equipment, factory, or office fixtures of wood construction.

　　Builds new facilities, equipment, and tools of wood construction, preparing the materials required list and estimated material costs.

　　Sets up, maintains, and operates all applicable machines and tools, including but not limited to those needed to harden or temper tool steels, or any other metal preparation processes.

　　Knows and demonstrates basic welding skills.

　　Performs Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) schedules and assignments as required for the tools and machines used in the performance of this function.

　　Maintains all materials, tools and equipment in good repair and maintains orderly condition of work area consistent with 5 C practices and the Wiremold Production System.

　　Records information required for analysis and decision making including, but not limited to equipment performance, quality and productivity.

　　Complies with all OSHA and Company safety procedures and works in a safe manner to insure both personal safety and safety to others.

　　Performs all assignments with attention to quality standards of workmanship.

　　Reports current or potential problems or malfunctions that may affect assignment or operation of equipment.

　　May train others in repair and safe operation of equipment.

　　Performs other work as directed by supervisor.

　　Qualifications

　　Minimum Requirements

　　Must know how to use all applicable tools and measuring devices to perform the work.

　　Must maintain current licensing or certification required for the performance of assigned tasks.

　　Must know and follow all applicable OSHA and Company safety policies, practices, and procedures.

　　Essential Mental Functions

　　Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, specifications, and wiring diagrams.

　　Must be able to read and follow established job procedures and check lists.

　　Must be able to solve mathematical equations at an elementary level.
