Title:
Material Planner 2
KBR is seeking a Material Planner 2 to support the United States Space Force's (USSF) Satellite Control Network (SCN) in Colorado Springs. The SCN provides highly reliable and secure data transfer, telemetry, tracking, command, control, and communications (TT&C3) for more than 195 Department of Defense (DoD), National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), civil, and allied satellites.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ensures the development and completion of job progress milestones through scheduling. Coordinates with procurement and material managers as well as engineering work group leads pertaining to essential. items of supply. Provides priorities for projects to guarantee completion. Contributes to forecasts and disbursements by performing schedule analysis. Under general guidance, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within project controls. Displays core competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard procedures while developing advanced skills.
Qualifications and Skills Requirements:
Ensuring the consistent and adequate supply of materials necessary for production.
Determines the required materials and generating purchase orders.
Tracking production volume, monitoring customer demand patterns, and purchasing trends.
Scheduling and overseeing the supply and delivery of materials and products.
Managing inventory issues, schedule changes, and cancellations.
Preparing cost estimates and performance reports.
Provide accurate data packages including warranty administration, vendor service agreements andphysical data for government use to populate a spares model.
Procure replenishment required spares to support sustainment requirements.
Implement a supply chain risk management program to reduce susceptibilities and vulnerabilities.
Establish planning and preventative measures to mitigate counterfeiting risks.
Evaluate the SCN baseline parts, by configuration item, per approved government schedules.
Working knowledge of manufacturing processes, Supply Chain Management, and Material Requirements Planning Systems.
Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.
Security Clearance:
Secret (or the ability to obtain a Secret Clearance)
Basic Compensation:
$67,000 - $84,000
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
