  The Material Handler - Paint Line preps parts to be painted and performs quality inspections and rework after painting is complete.

  Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1.

  Demonstrate the Vermeer

  characteristics of caring culture, demonstrating agility, customer focused, and stewardship and model the associated behaviors.

  Hang parts to be painted on paint racks. Prep parts as needed before they go into the paint booth.

  Inspect parts after painting and rework as necessary.

  Remove materials from paint line racks and move them to designated areas throughout the manufacturing facility.

  Mark materials with identifying information.

  Drive forklift or other material handling vehicles when necessary.

  Support 5S/workplace organization goals of the department and offer suggestions and makes improvements that achieve the department's performance board metrics.

  Education and/or Experience

  High School diploma or general education degree.

  Less than one year related experience and/or training.

  Other Skills and Abilities

  Effectively present information verbally and written and respond to questions from groups of managers and suppliers.

  Perform basic functions in Glovia.

  Perform problem solving techniques and root cause analysis.

  Perform multiple tasks simultaneously; ability to assess, evaluate, and carry out appropriate action for a given situation.

  Certificates, Licenses, Registration

  Must have the ability to obtain a Vermeer Forklift Operators License.

  Work Location

  ONSITE: A team member's day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
