The Market Sales Representative is responsible for the sale of internet,voice, alarm, and cable TV services through outbound phone-basedselling. Responsible for prospecting and qualifying leads, upgradingcurrent customers, promoting products and services, and closing saleswith new or existing customers. This position is accountable forindividual results and impact on team goals. Works under the directionof the Market Sales Manager to implement sales and marketing promotionsto ensure the Company meets its growth targets.
Essential Job Functions:
Compiles lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based oninformation from ad inquiries, direct mail responses, businessdirectories, Internet Web sites, and other sources;
Makes outbound lead follow-up calls to potential and existing customersby telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services;
Consults with potential customers about their applications and presentssolutions that meet their needs emphasizing marketable features, pricingoptions, and credit terms,
Solicits referrals for potential new prospects and closes web leads;
Updates and maintains prospect database and opportunity funnel on adaily basis, assuring the managing of the prospect database is accurateand assuring customer orders are fulfilled;
Ensures customer satisfaction and supports a positive impression ofRitter Communications;
Remains knowledgeable of products and services and remains aware ofcompetitors\' services, offers, and initiatives;
Demonstrates strong influencing skills;
Enters customer work orders at the end of transactions and setsexpectations regarding the timeliness and completion of the work orders;
Focuses on goal achievement and results;
Travels to customer sites, project areas, business related events, andother Ritter Communications locations as required;
Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of telecommunications industry;
Knowledge of telecom operations, technology, and equipment;
Knowledge of business sales principles and practices;
Knowledge of company products and services;
Skill in operating various office equipment such as personal computer,various software programs, and telephone systems;
Skill in oral and written communication;
Ability to communicate with customers, employees, and various businesscontacts in a professional and courteous manner;
Ability to demonstrate skills in leadership;
Ability to organize and prioritize multiple work assignments;
Ability to pay close attention to detail;
Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand;
Ability to travel for business requirements; must possess a validDriver\'s License with a satisfactory driving record.
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or GED required; two to three years of experience inInside Sales within the telecommunications or IT services industries ispreferred but not required.
