Your role: The Manufacturing Operator 1 atMilliporeSigmawill produce and purify chemical compounds to meet theneeds of our customers by completing the following tasks on a dailybasis: Produce and purify chemical compounds to meet the requirements ofMilliporeSigmacustomers Stage materials operating a variety of warehouseequipment Basic operation of vessels, tanks, dryers, and other relatedequipment Perform in-process analytical testing including work-ups andsimple interpretations asdescribed in the Master Production RecordPerform distillations, filtrations, and extractions to isolate andpurify product Follow and support all safety and quality procedures andsystems Shift/Hours/Schedule: 3rd shift,10:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Sunday -Thursday Physical Attributes: Wear an air helmet, respirator mask,safety shoes, rubber apron, chemical protective suitsand gloves, safetyglasses and goggles to protect from toxic or corrosive chemicals Work inan occasional wet, humid or abnormally hot or cold environment Sit,stand, walk, reach above the shoulder, stoop, kneel, twist, or crouchfor long periodsof time Lift andmove50 pounds Work with and in proximityof hazardous chemicals Use close vision, distance vision, color vision,peripheral vision, depth vision and theability to adjust focus Use arange of office, laboratory, and manufacturing equipment Work nearmoving mechanical parts Who you are: Minimum Qualifications: High SchoolDiploma or GED Preferred Qualifications: Associate\'s Degree inChemistry, Biology, or other science discipline Prior industrial workexperience or chemical handling experience Strong mechanical proficiencyMathematical skills Excellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to read and understand written protocols Understand chemicalreactions and hazards Understand ISO and quality systems What we offer:We are curious minds that come from a broad range of backgrounds,perspectives, and life experiences.
