  Chemical Technician

  We are looking for a Chemical Technician to join our Lansing, NY team! As our Chemical Tech, you will work closely with our quality and production teams in our Surface Technologies facility, the IMR Test Lab.

  You will work with various chemicals, especially polymers, to test metals for our customers.

  Location: Lansing, NY

  Salary: $20-$22/hour

  Your Challenge

  Perform mechanical and chemical sample preparations.

  Mechanical sample prep will include cutting, drilling and grinding of metal samples.

  Chemical sample prep will include mainly acid digestions of metal samples and dilutions

  Review and investigate samples using a variety of analytical instrumentation - oxygen/nitrogen analyzer, hydrogen analyzer, carbon/sulfur determinator, optical emission spectrometer (OES) and ICP, and particle size analyzer.

  What You Bring

  Associates or Bachelors in Science or Mathematics or equivalent experience

  Comfortable with handheld and electric tools (cutoff saw, drill press, etc.)

  Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer driven environment

  Comfortable with chemicals and acids (full PPE provided)
