Mechanical Engineer I/Engineer II CAD Modeling

In this position, you will enable our customers to stay ahead of rapidly evolving threats to national security by designing and developing 3D geometric Computer Aided Design (CAD) models of foreign systems. In this position, you will primarily work in our customer facilities.

What Youll Do:
Work with customers, team members, and colleagues to understand project requirements and scope.
Construct 3-D geometric CAD models of foreign spacecraft, including static and dynamic characteristics, using industry standards and formats.
Conduct all-source and open-source intelligence (OSINT) research of detailed technical assessments of subsystems and spacecraft construction techniques.
Perform high-level analytical assignments.
Collaborate in a team environment.
Assist in preparing presentations and documents.
Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company.Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
Perform other duties as necessary.
What Youll Need:
Engineer I - BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus2 or more years related experience.
Engineer II - BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus5 or more years related experience.
Each higher-level degree, i.e., Masters Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
2 or more years of CAD modeling experience.
Excellent communication skills.
Experience with NX preferred.
Experience with Matlab, Python, and/or Simulink preferred.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:
HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR ENGINEER I: $87,000 - $108,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
HIRING SALARY RANGE FOR ENGINEER II: $105,500 - $130,750 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
